Well, I guess the big personal thing is that I’m single now. Things didn’t work out, and I guess it’s all for the best. Any takers? XD
That aside, I’ve admitted my addiction to political issues. I’ve always been fascinated with politics, and since I guess this is probably one of the most historic elections in our nation’s history, I’ve been paying alot more attention. While I can not bring myself to swear to a political party, my support for Obama has been growing. Obviously, the man is not perfect, but no politician ever was, and never will be. I watched his speech the other night, and it was pretty powerful. Even a certain someone I know, who a registered and fairly dedicated republican, admitted that he may just vote for this man. He seems to be playing all of the proper moves. I was not too sure of him at first, simply because he popped out of no where. I voted for Hillary in my state’s primary election (in which she got pwned by Obama), but I’m still dedicated to the party this term.
McCain on the other hand, just bothers me. First off, he’s really a half-assed republican at best. Anyone who considered Lieberman as a VP (and what he picked was probably worse), is not a real elephant. He’s a weak public speaker, and he ties himself too closely to our current president, who has been lampooned as one of our nation’s worst leaders. McCain’s VP pick of Palin shocked me. This Eskimo out of Alaska? McCain lashed at Obama for lack of experience, but McCain’s VP has far less experience then Obama. Why is this a problem? If McCain were to kick the bucket in office, we’d be left with Palin. That’s a problem. At least with Obama’s VP, Biden, the man has alot of experience to help out with. I can define the two parties into two phrases;
Republican Party 2008 – Cluster Fuck
Democratic Party 2008 – Soap Opera
I thought the election in 2004 was something… I imagine in 2012, we’ll have a gay Latino named Pancho Putin running from the Libertarian party. I have to take extra showers at night just because I actually registered to vote (as an Independent).
Shame aside, it’s an honor to be able to vote for the first time in a presidential election. I just hope whoever gets office, doesn’t stomp us further into the ground. I could rant on and on about this election, but I’ll save that for later.

I think I’m leaning toward obama or ron paul a little bit more. If for no other reason then because bush likes McCain… I watched part of bushe’s speech last night and it was scary. I’m all for vets and army people and whatever- but that doesnt mean you can lead a nation….
Ron Paul isn’t running any more. He was in the republican primary, but lost the nomination to McCain.
Ironic thing about McCain, he’s voted against several veteran’s benefit bills in the past.
eww? really? I thought that was taboo?
